PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities have identified the burglary suspect arrested after he barricaded himself inside a Southwest Portland home on Tuesday, according to police.
Jonathan W. Cook, 43, is being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center and faces one charge of first-degree burglary.

On Tuesday, just after 5 p.m., officers responded to the scene near 600 SW Sherman Street, where Cook had reportedly barricaded himself inside the home.
“Over the course of the next two hours, the suspect refused to comply with the officers’ commands numerous times. At approximately 7:30 p.m., PPB’s Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) responded to the scene to assist,” police said Tuesday. “Streets in the area are cordoned off as PPB personnel work to bring this incident to a safe conclusion.”…
