Portland Police arrest man with knife while patrolling protest downtown

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Police arrested someone with a knife on a menacing charge Wednesday night while monitoring an ICE-related protest downtown.

Police officials said the demonstrations were overwhelmingly peaceful, but at about 7:45 p.m., there was a confrontation near Southwest 4th Avenue and Madison Street.
