California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Thursday called on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign following two shooting incidents involving federal authorities this week, one of which was fatal.
37-year-old Renee Nicole Macklin Good was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday after she attempted to drive away from officers. A day later, two people were hospitalized after Border Patrol agents shot them in Portland, Ore.
