Woman accused of hitting EMT with ‘white powder’ bag, triggering overdose at Clackamas Co. hospital

CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – A 57-year-old Clackamas woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with assaulting two EMTs on Friday at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, according to the sheriff’s office.

On Friday afternoon, a visitor at the hospital allegedly became violent with nursing staff and two EMTs. She is accused of hitting one of the EMTs with a bag filled with white powder, which puffed into the air around the EMT, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.

A short time later, according to CCSO, one of the EMTs began experiencing symptoms consistent with an overdose. They were given multiple doses of Narcan and then admitted to the hospital for treatment. The second EMT also showed mild symptoms, CCSO said…
