Molalla man dies in Thursday rollover

A Molalla man died Thursday, Jan. 8, in a single-vehicle crash on I-205, near milepost 15, in Clackamas County.

The preliminary investigation by the Oregon State Police said that at about 12:46 p.m., on Jan. 8, a northbound Ford Aspire, operated by Jack Jay Lewis, age 64, of Molalla, left the roadway for unknown reasons, struck an ODOT sign, and rolled.

Police said that Ford was not wearing a seatbelt and was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. The highway impact lasted about three hours as the scene was investigated…
