PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Oregon Department of Forestry says there’s a new beetle threatening trees in the Willamette Valley.
The Mediterranean Oak Borer was found in at least six counties, including Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill.
State and federal officials weren’t sure about the extent of the infestation until they set more than 30 traps across the valley last summer…
