Portland man’s graffiti spree began in the ‘90s, ends with prison time and a $33,000 fine

A Multnomah County judge ordered a veteran tagger to state prison for four years on Monday after determining the man had been spray painting Portland since the 1990s.

Citing the evidence presented at trial, Judge Christopher Ramras said that Jacob Ramos — known for using the tag “Bier” — was involved in the Kill Your Television graffiti crew in decades past and more recently founded a crew called Decorate the City.

Ramras found the tagger guilty of 51 counts of first- or second-degree criminal mischief during a bench trial without a jury in November. He ordered Ramos to pay $33,000 in restitution to various property owners…
