Lawsuit against Lake Oswego father who drugged pre-teens at sleepover settled

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A legal battle involving a Lake Oswego father who drugged smoothies at his daughter’s sleepover is no more.

As first reported by the Lake Oswego Review, a KOIN 6 News partner with Carpenter Media Group, Clackamas County records show the lawsuit against Michael Meyden and his ex-wife was “settled or otherwise resolved” on Dec. 30.

The plaintiffs, identified as a female minor and her father, originally filed the $2.4 million complaint against Meyden in mid-November 2024 — just months after he was charged with three counts of causing another person to ingest a controlled substance, three counts of applying a Schedule-IV controlled substance to the body of a minor and three counts of delivery to minor of a Schedule-IV controlled substance.

Lake Oswego police revealed they responded to a report of three 12-year-old girls who had been treated at Randall’s Children Hospital after being “exposed to an unknown prescription drug” during a sleepover at Meyden’s residence in late August 2023…
