PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Opening day for a popular fast food joint’s Portland outpost is on the horizon.
Just weeks after Chick-fil-A announced its restaurant on 9950 SE Stark St. was expected to debut early this year, the chain has revealed the eatery will begin serving customers on Thursday, Jan. 22.

The Hazelwood neighborhood spot previously held the Venue Gentleman’s Club. It will now hold the city’s only Chick-fil-A, although the company offers nearby locations in suburbs including Beaverton, Hillsboro and Lake Oswego.
Portland resident Austin Morrow will serve as the owner and operator of the Mall 205 restaurant, according to Chick-fil-A. His career with the company dates back to when he worked in an Alabama location when he was 16 years old…
