The Portland Bureau of Transportation has gained some traction on its 2025-2026 snowplow-naming contest. The competition has moved on to its second phase by now asking the public to help select the final five names from a shortlist of 20 finalists.
More than 3,300 snowplow name submissions were received between Dec. 23, 2025, and Jan. 5, 2026.
