PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland Fire is investigating two separate fires that both left significant damage.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 3300 block of North Willamette Boulevard after receiving multiple calls of a church on fire. “Due to the size of the structure and multiple reports indicating a possible large fire, command called for a second alarm while enroute,” Portland Fire said in a press release.
When crews arrived, they found a part of the roof on fire. Firefighters say that a large part of the roof had to be cut away to make sure the fire hadn’t spread inside. The fire was brought under control, and fire investigators will determine the cause…
