Plans to reopen at a Dairy Queen drive-thru in Southeast Portland may have temporarily frozen over — but an upcoming land use hearing could warm things up again.
It’s been almost seven years since a Dairy Queen has stood at the corner of Southeast Division Street and 55th Avenue. In 2019 — nearly 50 years after opening its doors in 1969 — the restaurant was demolished with the intention of rebuilding in the same spot.
But those plans haven’t fully defrosted yet…
