We’ve got awesome news! Trap Door Brewing is doubling down on a massive new food cart pod that will officially be known as “Prairie View Station.”
A “Perfect Storm” in the Dining Desert
Owner Bryan Shull is curing a self-proclamed “dining desert.” Located right next to the WinCo and Prairie High School, Prairie View Station will be a 42,000-square-foot oasis…and it’s currently scheduled to break ground NEXT MONTH!
Why is this a big deal? Because currently, if you’re in this neck of the woods, your options are basically “fast food” or…”fast food.” Shull saw the opportunity, grabbed a one-acre parcel originally intended for the Fort Vancouver Library System, and decided to build something that actually brings people together.
The Stats on PVS:
- 14 Food Trucks: There will be a curated, non-compete lineup.
- The Taproom: An 1,800 sq. ft. indoor space operated by Union Pub (dba Trap Door) featuring 20+ draft lines and a full cocktail bar.
- The Pizza Factor: Bringing the same pizza-and-salad magic that made their Washougal location a hit.
- Parking Galore: 40 dedicated spots, plus a “spillover” agreement with WinCo AKA patrons won’t run into the same issues as they do at popular Oak Tree Station in Camas.
Prairie View Station: Different Than Other Food Cart Pods
Let’s be honest: some food cart pods are just gravel lots with a shared extension cord. Prairie View Station is being built from the ground up by the pros at SUM Architecture and Engineering Northwest.
Each truck will get its own utility pole (water, gas, electric), and there’s an actual kitchen commissary on-site. For the vendors, that will mean lower overhead and less stress; for customers, it will mean higher-quality food and a cleaner environment.
Family-Friendly (In a Non-Cringe Way)
Owner Bryan Shull, a father himself, designed Prairie View Station as a “romper room” style turf area. There will be an outdoor play space for kids, covered awnings, outdoor heaters, and a mezzanine level with fire pits. Um, yes please.
So When Can We Drink There?
Groundbreaking starts in February 2026, with a soft opening targeted for Fall 2026…
