Hillsboro apartment fire leaves family with nowhere to go as Red Cross funds run dry

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A fire forced families out of a Hillsboro apartment complex last week, but with Red Cross funds running dry, one mother of two says they are forced to check out of their hotel with no place to go.

Hillsboro Fire and Rescue said crews were called to the apartments off NW Bailey Avenue around 4:20 a.m. on Friday for the fast-moving fire that left more than a dozen displaced.
