PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A fixture of the Rose City’s coffee scene is shutting down following a 25-year run.
On Tuesday, Stumptown Coffee Roasters announced the cafe on 3356 Belmont St. will serve its final cup on Saturday, Feb. 28. Although the Sunnyside neighborhood business is not the flagship location of the now-global chain, it became the second-oldest after opening in 2001.

According to a social media post, the company plans to replace the cafe with another Portland location.
“We’re deeply grateful for the years spent at 34th and SE Belmont and for everyone who made it what it was: the regulars, the neighbors, and the team members who poured heart into every day here,” Stumptown Coffee wrote on Instagram. “Our decision to close this location is due to the high cost of refurbishing the space to meet today’s needs. So, while this chapter is coming to a close, our commitment to Portland is not. We’re actively looking for our next cafe home and look forward to welcoming you there when the time comes.”…
