An adult male pedestrian died Friday, Feb. 6, after being struck by a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot in Battle Ground, according to the Battle Ground Police Department (BGPD).
Officers and Clark County Fire District 3 personnel responded to the collision at approximately 12:26 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the east side of the Walmart parking lot. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, a news release by BGPD stated.
Police said the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with BGPD detectives as the investigation continues. At this time, investigators do not believe excessive speed or driver impairment were factors in the collision, the release added…
