Canadian visitors to Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show left stranded after van was stolen from hotel parking lot

PORTLAND, Oregon — Visitors from Canada hoping to showcase their gear at this weekend’s Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show are left without their goods — and their ride home — after a late-night theft.

According to Jeff Leung of the Westcoast Fishing Tackle Team, while the group was staying at the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites Hotel, close by the Portland Expo Center, their van full of fishing tackle was stolen from the parking lot.

“It was so shocking and sad — not only the loss of goods, but now, we have no way to get home,” Leung told KGW. “Being our first time to Portland, we are so disappointed.”…
