MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR – Transit police and partner agencies arrested 16 people during a high-visibility enforcement operation along the northern end of TriMet’s MAX Yellow Line, authorities said.
The five-hour mission on February 12th targeted livability issues and criminal activity around light-rail platforms, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. The effort included TriMet’s Transit Police Division, the Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct Neighborhood Response Team and sheriff’s office units.
Arrests involved firearm violations, drug possession and distribution, felony eluding, stolen vehicle recovery and outstanding warrants. Investigators also seized hundreds of dollars in counterfeit money…
