PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was sentenced to 23 years in prison for shooting and killing Taysean Nash, 23, at a TriMet Max station in Portland in 2024, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said on Thursday.
On Sept. 19, Portland police officers responding to reports of a shooting found Nash dead at a TriMet MAX platform at Northeast 148th Avenue and East Burnside Street in the Hazelwood neighborhood. Surveillance video captured the shooting leading to the arrest of Felix Juarez-Perez, 43.
Juarez-Perez told police he had given Nash drugs that he hadn’t yet paid for — and he went to confront him about it. Police said Juarez-Perez admitted to the shooting and “pistol whipping” Nash, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said…
