Man convicted of killing off-duty mail carrier in Clackamas sentenced to 25 years, no parole

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KPTV) – The man convicted of murdering an off-duty mail carrier in Clackamas County was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison with no chance of parole.

Chad Westover, 53, was found guilty in the stabbing death of 43-year-old Tristan Thomas, who was killed on his front doorstep on Sept. 21, 2024 at an apartment complex on Southeast Sunnyside Road.
