Hundreds told to evacuate in Vancouver due to active gas leak

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A gas leak in Vancouver forced hundreds of residents to evacuate from their homes Tuesday afternoon, according to fire officials.

Approximately 71 homes with 307 residents were told to leave the impacted area between 44th Street to 123rd Avenue as emergency crews worked to find the source of the leak. The residents have since been allowed back to their homes.
