The 15-year-old accused of stabbing another teen in the bathroom of a Vancouver high school on Feb. 17 planned the attack in advance, prosecutors allege in court documents.
Elena Mercado-Rodriguez is facing a single charge of first-degree attempted murder for the alleged knife attack, which happened shortly before 3 p.m. at Vancouver’s Heritage High School, Clark County Sheriff’s Office officials and court records say. The high school is part of the Evergreen Public Schools district.
