Portland Police Says A Welfare Check Of A Man Slumped At His Car Steering Wheel Turns Into A Big Bust

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police arrested a man Tuesday night after he was found slumped behind the wheel of a running vehicle.

Officers from the East Precinct responded around 10:20 p.m. to reports of 34-year-old Cory Holland of Portland unresponsive at a stoplight near Northeast 139th Avenue and East Burnside Street. When they arrived, the vehicle had crashed into a cement mailbox.

Holland appeared unresponsive when police say they found a gun next to him. So, they boxed in his car and broke a window to detain him…
