1 arrested after Portland drug bust results in cocaine, Xanax, cash seized

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland man was arrested and accused of drug dealing after a police investigation resulted in the seizure of cocaine, Xanax and cash, authorities said.

Sineca Legard, 48, was lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center on multiple charges. This comes after the Portland Police Bureau Special Emergency Reaction Team and Neighborhood Response Team responded to reports of drug trafficking from a motel room in the 11700 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

During the investigation, police said they observed “a high volume of foot traffic to and from the room at various hours throughout the day and night, a pattern consistent with illegal narcotics distribution.”

On Wednesday at 5:30 a.m., SERT executed a search warrant at the motel room, seizing 7 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of Xanax and $2,498 in cash…
