PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A 40-year-old man was found guilty on Wednesday of “escape” after he failed to report to a regional reentry center in Portland in November 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office – District of Oregon.
In February 2025, Brandon Charles Nelson was serving probation after being convicted of possessing a gun as a felon, according to court records. On Feb. 25, 2025, he was found to have violated the terms of his release for a third time. His probation was revoked, and he was sentenced to 12 more months in prison.
While serving that sentence at a federal prison in Victorville, Calif., Nelson became eligible for a residential reentry center and was referred to the Northwest Regional Re-entry Center in Portland.
