ICE agent in Portland threatened to use deadly force during call with 911 dispatch

PORTLAND, Ore. — “I need someone here now or else I’m going to have to shoot this kid.”

In a tense 911 call, an agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Northeast Portland warned dispatchers that he would shoot a young man he claimed was following him, yelling and punching his car.

KGW obtained a copy of the recording, first reported on by OPB this week. The incident itself happened Oct. 31, 2025 — Halloween. It’s now raising questions surrounding the training immigration enforcement officers receive and when, if ever, deadly force would be justified in such a situation…
