Man in custody after shooting critically injures 1 in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – A man is in custody after an early morning shooting critically injured one person in the Parkrose neighborhood early Thursday morning.

At about 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 11300 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. Police said a man was found at the scene with critical, life-threatening injuries. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers from Portland and Gresham, including K-9 units and drones, were seen searching the surrounding neighborhood. Police blocked the street for several blocks.
