PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Coast Guard swimmer who was injured while responding to a rescue in late February has died, the Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue Swimmer Association shared Friday.
Tyler Jaggers, Rescue Swimmer #1087, was being treated for injuries he suffered after the rescue and died a week later, the officials confirmed on social media.
“Our brother Tyler has flown west into the arms of the Creator,” the post read. “May God comfort His family and our Coast Guard Family.”
