PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A 17-year-old boy from Beaverton was arrested early in the morning after Portland police responded to a reported burglary in progress at an unused school building in Southwest Portland.
Sgt. Kevin Allen, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Bureau, said the call came in at 12:37 a.m. An officer responded to the report at the building in the 8900 block of Southwest 52nd Avenue, and several officers responded to set up containment. A K-9 and drone team also joined the scene.
Allen said an officer spotted two people near Southwest 55th Avenue and Orchid Street. One person was arrested and the other ran off and was not immediately found…
