Three people sent to hospital after truck crash involving pedestrians in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three people were sent to the hospital after a truck crash involving pedestrians occurred in Northeast Portland Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash happened on Northeast 57th Avenue near Northeast Klickitat Street just before 2 p.m.

When a KOIN 6 News photographer arrived at the scene around 2:30 p.m., there was a black truck on the side of the road with a crushed front-end surrounded by two ambulances and a fire engine.

Three people were taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital, two of whom were taken to the trauma care center, and one of whom appeared to have serious injuries, PF&R said. It’s unclear how many of the patients were pedestrians and how many were vehicle occupants at the time…
