Portland skier dies at Mount Bachelor

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Oregon — A 65-year-old man is dead after a skiing crash on Monday, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:22 p.m., Mt. Bachelor Ski Patrol was notified about an injured skier on the Wanoga Way Ski Trail on the east side of Mount Bachelor, off the Cloudchaser Lift. Wanoga Way is considered an intermediate ski trail.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Bend Fire & Rescue, and Airlink were dispatched to the scene, with Mt. Bachelor Ski Patrol the first to arrive…
