Atomix, the Korean fine-dining restaurant in New York that landed the top spot on the inaugural North America’s 50 Best list last year, is coming to Portland for three floors of collaborative dinners at Kann, celebrity chef Gregory Gourdet’s wood-fired Haitian restaurant.
The main event — an April 3 collaboration between Gourdet and the husband-and-wife team of chef Junghyun “JP” Park and front-of-house manager Ellia Park in Kann’s main dining room — sold out via pre-sale before it was announced. That multi-course dinner will almost certainly go down as the local food event of the year.
But the public has two other opportunities to take part. Starting Friday, April 3, and continuing through the weekend, Atomix’s sister restaurant Atoboy will team up with Bryan Furman BBQ to bring together American, Caribbean and Korean BBQ under one roof in Kann’s basement.
