PORTLAND, Ore. — A busy North Portland bottle redemption center is scheduled to close at the end of July, and the news has been divisive. Those who rely on it for ready cash say they don’t know how they’ll get by without it — but many neighbors say they’re more than happy to see an end to the drug use and related crime it attracts.
