Portland​ snow? Sunday forecast calls for light, wintry precipitation

The highest elevations in the Portland area could get a dusting of snow Sunday morning, followed by a wintry drizzle.

Temperatures are in the high 30s in North Portland and could reach a high of 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. But in the upper areas of the city, including the West Hills, there is a “slight chance” of a mix of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday, forecasters said.

The snow level is expected to rise from 800 feet above sea level to 6,700 feet in the afternoon. Scant snow, if any, is expected to accumulate…
