PORTLAND, Ore. — The Thompson Elk that once stood in downtown Portland is set to make its return — finally — in a few weeks.
The Portland Parks Foundation said the statue will be back in its place at Southwest Main Street, culminating in a homecoming celebration on April 12 at 1 p.m. More details will be available soon.
