‘Hunting my PREY’: Portland man indicted for threatening politician

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Portland man was indicted after allegedly threatening an elected official and a minor, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced Monday.

A federal grand jury in Portland returned the indictment last Tuesday, charging 41-year-old Travis William Juhr with transmitting interstate threats.

According to court documents, Juhr threatened an elected official in Nevada through voicemail and a post on X, stating, “I hope you have your doors and windows locked. Because I love a challenge when hunting my PREY,” authorities said, noting the post included a photo of the victim.
