A popular Portland honky tonk closed last month. Two regulars hope to save it from disappearing forever

A Southeast Portland bar that left its fans and regulars desolate after closing last month could get a second chance with new owners and a new name.

The Landmark Saloon, best known for its live music and spacious side patio, invited old friends to “raise a glass” and say farewell to “the little honky tonk” after hitting financial straits in early 2026.

“Let’s hope things work out and someone great takes over the space,” the bar wrote in a social media post announcing the closure. “But for now, this will be our last hurrah.”…
