Crum Bust At 122nd BottleDrop As Cops Collar Suspected Fentanyl Pusher

A busy BottleDrop parking lot at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street turned into a crime scene Tuesday after Portland police arrested a man they say was selling fentanyl out of his car in tiny foil packets.

Officers say the man was working a steady stream of walk-up and drive-up customers near the redemption center. When they moved in, police report they seized about 25 grams of suspected fentanyl packaged for sale, roughly two grams of methamphetamine, multiple weapons and a loaded gun.

How Officers Say The Bust Went Down

According to KATU, neighbors had flagged what they considered a suspicious pattern: a man parked near the BottleDrop, people repeatedly approaching his vehicle, quick hand-offs, then everyone moving along. That was enough for investigators to open a case and start watching more closely.

When officers contacted the suspect, they say they found drugs packaged in what they described as “crumb-sized” foil packets, the kind commonly sold for immediate use. Preliminary field tests indicated the packets contained fentanyl. Police have not released the suspect’s name and say the investigation is still active.

What Police Say They Seized

Investigators say the stash recovered Tuesday is part of a larger push by the Portland Police Bureau to clamp down on open-air drug markets in outer Northeast Portland.
