Massive East County Library to open Saturday, May 16

An exciting update for book lovers across the region — the brand new East County Library, in Gresham — will officially open its doors on Saturday, May 16.

The 95,000-square-foot library, which was approved by voters during the 2020 Library Capital Bond, promises to be a “dynamic destination” in East County. There will be spaces for learning, connection, play, and, of course, reading.

The new library, 475 N.W. Division St. stands up to the size of the Central Library in Downtown Portland. It was built at the former TriMet Gresham City Hall MAX Park and Ride, and is located adjacent to Gresham City Hall and Gresham Station Shopping Center.
