Sky Zone trampoline park sued after Oregon grandma says child ran into her, broke her hip

A woman who says she broke her hip when she was knocked over by a child skedaddling past a “no running” sign at a Sky Zone branch has sued the trampoline park for failing to enforce its own rules.

Maria Alanis Ruiz, a Latina activist and academic well known in Oregon, was picking up her granddaughter at the Beaverton Sky Zone when she was accidentally struck and knocked to the ground about 7:30 p.m. March 19, 2024, the lawsuit says.
