Man hurt in East Portland shooting dies in hospital days later

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The man who was hospitalized after a shooting in East Portland earlier this month has died, Portland police announced Thursday.

Around 1:40 a.m. on March 9, Portland police said they responded to the area of Northeast 148th Avenue and East Burnside Street, where they found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man, identified as 40-year-old Nicholas Teegarden, was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
