PCC strike could delay spring term

Portland Community College administration warns of a spring term delay as Oregon’s first community college strike spills into another week.

In a statement released Friday, March 20, PCC officials said reaching a tentative agreement by Monday with striking faculty and classified unions is necessary “to keep the spring term on track and minimize disruption for students.”

As of now, PCC leaders say that the spring term is slated to begin as scheduled at the end of the month. But the strike has already compressed the timeline for finalizing winter term grades and resolving outstanding coursework, officials said…
