PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A former inmate at the Multnomah County Jail says she was raped by former Deputy Edwin Diaz and that the sheriff and other jail employees failed to stop it, according to court documents.
According to the documents, Diaz targeted the woman while she was suffering from mental illness and physically and sexually assaulted her when she threatened to report him.
