Man arrested, charged after brass plates stolen from TriMet MAX platforms, officials say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A man accused of stealing large brass plates from multiple TriMet MAX stations along North Interstate Avenue has been arrested, authorities said.

Detectives with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said TriMet reported that between March 17 and March 19, 2026, someone unscrewed multiple brass plates from MAX platforms and stole them.
