Pacific Power, PGE raise electricity rates again. See how much

PORTLAND, Ore. — Monthly electric bills for about 1.5 million Oregon households served by Pacific Power or Portland General Electric will increase this year.

Starting Wednesday, Portland General Electric customers will see a 5% increase — about $8 per month, while Pacific Power customers will see around a 2.9% increase — about $4.29 a month. The exact increase will vary based on a customer’s electricity use.

Pacific Power customers in Albany, meanwhile, will see a 4.1% increase, or $5.64 per month, the utility company said. That additional increase is related to a street remodeling project, which asked the company to bury power lines underground, that had been approved by the city…
