Portland man claiming to be an ICE officer arrested after demanding money at 7-Eleven

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Portland man claiming to be an ICE agent tried to extort money from a 7-Eleven clerk by saying he would target his family, prosecutors allege.

Court documents state that a clerk at 7-Eleven at 9111 Southeast Division told police two men entered the store on March 29.

One of the men, later identified as Mason Thomas Clark, 19, approached the register and said, “I am Immigration and Customs. You have two options: Give me money or I will come after your family.”…
