Timber faller airlifted to Portland hospital after remote accident near Highway 6

TILLAMOOK, Ore. (KATU) — A timber faller was airlifted to Portland following an accident March 30, according to the Tillamook Fire District.

Firefighters from Tillamook and Bay City responded to a report of a timber faller struck by a tree near Boundary Road off Highway 6.

“Initial reports indicated the person was conscious and breathing but unable to move,” Tillamook Fire said. “Access was difficult due to the remote location.”…
