PDX launches year two of the pop-up program; two local businesses open up shop

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Two new local businesses have opened up shop at Portland International Airport as part of the PDX pop-up program, which entered its second year.

PDX says travelers spend an estimated $127 million a year at its airport concessions. The PDX pop-up program aims to put that money toward small, growing businesses, such as ECOVIBE.

Andrea Allen, co-founder of ECOVIBE, said, “We were actually approached by one of the port representatives who happens to be a customer of ours, and the opportunity had arisen where we were closing one of our locations in Portland, and she reached out to us to see if we’d be interested in applying to open a store here at the airport.”…
