More warm sunshine Monday, staying dry all week

A RECORD WARM EASTER

Wow it was warm out there! The Portland airport hit 79 degrees, which breaks the previous warm high temperature record (of 77) for today’s date. The official report comes out closer to 7 p.m.. so we’ll see if Portland actually made it to 80 degrees. It was certainly our warmest day of the year so far, and almost 20 degrees warmer than normal.

We’ll likely be almost as warm Monday with more direct sunshine but a slightly cooler atmosphere. We’re forecasting mid to upper 70s for the Portland area.

STAYING MILD AND DRY ALL WEEK

A system moving through B.C. to our north will increase our onshore flow Tuesday, cooling us back down into the low 60s. It’ll still be a mainly sunny day, though.

Pleasant and dry weather continues through the entire work week as the jet stream remains to our north while a cut-off system heads into California. We might see afternoon temperatures back in the low 70s Thursday and Friday under thin, high clouds…
