Teen charged in shooting death of Uber driver in 2024

PORTLAND, Ore. — A teen charged in the fatal shooting of an Uber driver in Southeast Portland two years ago was scheduled to make an initial appearance in juvenile court on Monday afternoon.

It’s unclear when the suspect was arrested; prior to his first court appearance on Monday, the case still had no publicly announced arrests. The suspect faces a total of 10 charges including second-degree murder. His name is being withheld because he was a minor at the time of the shooting and is being charged in juvenile court, although he is 18 now.
